The EU has proposed banning access to ports for 11 ships suspected of “contributing to Russia’s military efforts”.
“The European Commission … recommends that Member States agree to the steps in the 14th sanctions package. The measures under discussion include… a port access ban on some 11 ships suspected of aiding Russia’s military efforts,” Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said earlier that the number of restrictions on international trade has quadrupled in recent years.
