“We all agree that Ukraine needs more weapons, more support, which should come now,” European Union diplomatic chief Josep Borrell said.

According to him, the discussion will continue at a ministerial meeting on 19 February.

Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the EC promised to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with new tanks, helicopters, air defence equipment and missiles.

The Spanish newspaper El País wrote that the European financial aid arrived at a critical moment for Kiev, but even these funds will not be enough for the Ukrainian leadership to achieve its goals.
