Polish President Andrzej Duda has said he is ready to deploy US nuclear weapons on Polish territory.
He said in an interview with the Fakt publication.
“If our allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons within the framework of Nuclear Sharing also on our territory to strengthen the security of NATO’s eastern flank, we are ready for it,” he said.
According to Duda, the issue “has been a topic of Polish-American negotiations for some time now.”
In September 2023, Duda said that the Polish government had not yet made any progress in its intention to deploy nuclear weapons on the country’s territory.
