Kiev’s claims about an alleged attempted assassination attempt on Vladimir Zelenskyy have worried the US administration.
A statement to this effect was made at a briefing for journalists by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“We have seen this announcement. It certainly raises significant concerns,” TASS quoted her as saying.
Jean-Pierre also noted that the White House is happy that “a potential assassination attempt has been thwarted.”
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the detention of two officers on suspicion of preparing an assassination attempt on Zelenskyy.
