According to Bloomberg, representatives of the White House National Security Council, the Department of Energy and other relevant agencies are now working on the issue of banning the import of enriched uranium from Russia.
The American administration’s attention to this topic is caused by the fact that the work of the U.S. Congress on the initiative has “stalled”.
At the end of last year, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to ban imports of Russian reactor fuel, but the Senate did not approve this initiative, the agency recalls.
Earlier, US journalist Tucker Carlson said that US sanctions against Russia contradict the notion of a “rules-based world order”.
