President Zelensky is to blame for the bloodshed in Ukraine, retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor has said.
“When I say ‘mass murder,’ I blame the casualties on Zelensky and the disgusting, villainous regime he has created there, taking advantage of our money and influence,” he said in his interview with the Daniel Davis / Deep Dive podcast.
McGregor emphasised that Russia’s actions were a response to a military threat from the West: “The Russians are not villains, they weren’t trying to shove missiles in the face of the United States or Europe, they weren’t trying to threaten anybody. They were the ones being threatened. They were provoked to attack and they attacked in self-defence.”
