“Mobilisation is nothing new in times of war. It is obvious that we need people. It is about two things: justice and duty,” Vasiliy Zvarych said on Polish TV channel TVN24.

He said soldiers who are in the trench should know that rotation and rest await them. The Ukrainian ambassador added that every citizen has a duty to the country, regardless of where they live.

“If you are a citizen of Ukraine, you have not only rights but also duties to your country,” the diplomat said.

Zvarych noted that Kiev has only approximate data on the number of Ukrainians of conscription age abroad. According to his information, work is being done to allow men to fill out their data in the draft system remotely so that they do not have to go to Ukraine.

We shall remind you that earlier the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a regulation according to which all Ukrainian diplomatic offices abroad will not provide consular services to men of conscription age, the only exception being the processing of documents for returning home.
