Opposition journalist Huntsom was sentenced to prison in Estonia

A Tallinn court on the eve of Victory Day sentenced opposition journalist and former editor of Sputnik Media in Estonia Allan Huntsom to 6.5 years in prison for some “intelligence activities”. This was reported by the Baltnews news agency.

 

Opposition journalist Allan Huntsom was detained by Estonian police on 7 December 2023.

He was sentenced to 6.5 years’ imprisonment by the Tallinn City Court on suspicion of acting in connection with “intelligence activities”. The details of the charges remain classified, follows the publication.

The report indicates that the condition of the journalist in prison is alarming, as he has lost weight by 10-15 kilograms.

We will remind, earlier Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas threatened those wishing to obtain Russian citizenship with deportation. According to her, such a desire of citizens poses a threat to the security of the country.
