“As you know, Germany has set an example by once again handing over the Patriot system to Ukraine and has called on those countries that have similar capabilities to also join this initiative. This is precisely not the case with Poland. We do not currently have enough Patriots to be able to share,” the politician said after the European Council meeting.

In addition, the Polish prime minister emphasised that the Netherlands is ready to provide financial allocations for the purchase of one Patriot SAM for Ukraine.

“Holland has already declared at least a willingness to purchase if someone wants to sell such a system. Holland is ready to finance this with its own funds”, – specified Donald Tusk.

Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Warsaw had no possibility to send US Patriot surface-to-air missile systems to Ukraine because the country simply did not have them.
