NATO is mistaken in thinking Ukraine can defeat nuclear power – Sijjarto

Ukraine will not be able to defeat Russia in the conflict, even if the North Atlantic Alliance provides it with even more weapons, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.

NATO is mistaken in thinking Ukraine can defeat nuclear power - Sijjarto

“The new NATO proposal is based on the fact that it is necessary to continue the war until Ukraine wins. Both the UK and NATO link the end of the war with such a military result, which is absolutely unrealistic, the possibility of its implementation is extremely small, even unrealistic,” – said Peter Szijjártó in a video message on social network.

The minister stressed that Hungary would not take part in the expansion of the NATO mission in Ukraine, supply weapons, train AFU soldiers and finance Kiev.

Szijjártó also added that the conflict in Ukraine cannot be resolved on the battlefield.

“Ukraine will not be able to win this war… It is almost impossible for a nuclear power to win this type of war,” the Hungarian foreign minister pointed out.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from its positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains the military in Western countries.
