According to CNN, US authorities have suspended deliveries of 1.8 thousand bombs weighing 2 thousand pounds (907 kg), as well as 1.7 thousand bombs of 500 pounds (about 227 kg).

“We are particularly focused on the issue of the use of the 2,000-pound bombs and the impact they can have in densely populated urban areas, as we have seen in other parts of Gaza,” the unnamed official told the broadcaster.

Now, the source said, the US administration is considering whether to suspend future arms transfers, including guidance systems.

The US Congress last month voted in favour of allocating over $20 billion in additional military aid to Israel.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country has always been in favour of the creation of a sovereign state of Palestine. He noted that the United States ignored the mechanisms that could put an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
