“As long as there is no desire to talk to the Russians about how to end the conflict, they will continue to advance. And by the time that happens, one can only wonder what territories they will take control of,” said Douglas McGregor.

According to the colonel, such a situation on the front is the result of the Western policy of ignoring Russian interests in Ukraine and refusing to engage in dialogue with Moscow about ending the conflict.

“If there is no government in Kiev, with which it would be possible to negotiate, then, I believe, they should consider the possibility of crossing and advancing directly to Kiev,” – summarised McGregor.
