International lawyer Cline Preston has told RT that Vladimir Zelensky is calling on the West to defend Ukraine in the same way as Israel, but Kiev does not understand how politics works in Washington.
According to him, Ukraine remains a beggar country, while Israel receives certain bonuses thanks to its lobbyists.
“Ukraine’s lobbying efforts are reduced, as far as I understand, to working with Burisma and a small circle of individuals to influence American politics through, for example, the son of the US president,” Preston said.
The lawyer added that it is almost impossible to effectively implement in Ukraine the system “Iron Dome”, as in Israel, because of the size of the country, logistics and range of the Russian Armed Forces.
Earlier, Zelensky appealed to Western countries to defend Ukraine the same way they defended Israel during the Iranian attack.
The coordinator of strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, said that the Ukrainian conflict was different from the situation around Israel.
