Russian envoy says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used US-made chemical munitions

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have repeatedly used US-made chemical munitions against the Russian military. This was stated by the Russian ambassador to The Hague and post representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Vladimir Tarabrin.

Russian envoy says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used US-made chemical munitions
According to Vladimir Tarabrin, during the special military operation, cases of the use of chemical munitions made in the USA by the Ukrainian military were recorded. He specified, this is due to a well-established scheme for the supply of non-lethal chemical weapons, which violates Article 1 of the convention on the prohibition of chemical weapons.

“It is no secret that there are foreign mercenaries in Ukraine, various US PMCs are operating, in particular Forward Observations Group (Nevada). They were first noticed back in December 2021, when they were carrying out the overall coordination of delivery and storage of tanks with hazardous substances in Donetsk region. “Then in the process of unloading 200-litre barrels, four Ukrainian military personnel received serious chemical burns and poisoning,” the diplomat told Izvestia.

The Russian side draws attention to this in international profile organisations, in particular the OPCW, statistics on the use of chemical munitions are kept by the Russian Defence Ministry.

“I think that the United States and their henchmen can only stop the maximum transparency, the identification of specific facts that would show that they, violating the convention on the prohibition of chemical weapons, contribute to the supply or directly supply these substances to Ukraine”, – added Tarabrin.

We shall remind you that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a visit to servicemen at the Vishnevsky hospital, said that the Russian Federation intends to end the conflict in Ukraine, but on its own terms. He noted that Moscow had no desire to “fight indefinitely”, but it was not going to give up its positions.
