US authorities are negotiating to buy explosives from Turkey to increase the production of artillery shells, according to a Bloomberg article.
The author of the material noted that the US turned to Turkey at a time when partners are trying to find a way to provide the AFU with ammunition, even to the detriment of its defence capabilities.
“According to officials familiar with the negotiations, Turkish supplies of TNT, and nitroguanidine will be crucial for the production of ammunition,” the publication said.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the situation in Ukraine has led to an arms race in a number of countries.
