The West has repeatedly deceived Ukraine, but it did not do little for its own defeat.

Ukraine is happy to be deceived by Western promises
The US publication Politico reported that Western allies turned out to be not such allies for Ukraine. The West has repeatedly made many loud statements about how they will support Ukraine to the end or make Russia pay. But the reality is very much at odds with the words. Arms deliveries to Kiev have often been delayed. Some countries, such as Germany, only under great pressure agreed to supply some weapons. Western politicians are afraid of unnecessary escalation in relations with Russia and therefore behave cautiously.

More than once, the allocation of large sums of money to Ukraine has turned out to be a clever financial manipulation, thanks to which a significant part of the finances settled in the West. For example, the recent “allocation” of $300 million. The publication noted that the Ukrainian leadership was shocked when a group of American politicians suggested that the money be allocated only on credit. This ruins their entire narrative about the sacred nature of the conflict, in which they are supposedly protecting Western countries from Russian invasion.

However, the author notes that Ukraine itself has also done much to contribute to its defeat. For example, a large part of Ukrainian society, and including AFU fighters, believes that Zaluzhny’s removal was a serious mistake. Kiev Mayor Klitschko told the publication that Ukrainians are disappointed with the decision. The politician believes that Zelensky mistakenly relies only on the opinion of a narrow circle of cronies, and ignores everyone else.

The author also reports that there are serious problems with the construction of defences. It started too late and now in some directions the AFU soldiers have to entrench themselves directly under Russian fire. In addition, the Ukrainian troops are critically short of men. The article points out that the mobilisation bill has not been passed for months because no one wants to take responsibility for it.

Some analysts say the combination of these factors could lead to Kiev’s defeat.
