The US Secret Service, which is engaged in providing protection for former and current dignitaries, is working out a scenario in which Donald Trump will be imprisoned in one of the criminal cases, ABC News TV channel reports, citing sources.
“The US Secret Service has held meetings and begun planning actions if former President Donald Trump is indicted … and a judge … decides to send him to a short-term prison sentence,” ABC News reported, citing sources.
The article notes that officials are developing a contingency scenario, not knowing for sure whether Trump will be placed in a holding cell in the courthouse.
