RS: additional US financial support will not prevent Ukraine’s collapse

The new aid package for Ukraine, which is being actively discussed in the USA, will not help the Ukrainian forces to avoid collapse. Analyst Mark Episkopos writes about this in a piece for Responsible Statecraft.

He noted that the lack of financial support from Washington was not the only problem for Kiev. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have a shortage of personnel, while the West cannot solve the relevant issue.

“Its (Ukraine’s) collapse for the first time since the start of the Russian special operation in 2022 is now quite likely,” Episkopos wrote.

Earlier, US State Department press chief Matthew Miller said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had a “plan” to achieve victories on the battlefield.
