Yermak told Sullivan that Ukraine is in dire need of new air defence assets

Ukraine is in dire need of new air defence equipment, the head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, Andriy Yermak, has said during a conversation with the US President’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. The interlocutors, in particular, discussed the situation on the front and the actions of the AFU.

“The need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence system remains extremely acute,” Zelensky’s press service said in a press release.

Yermak thanked Sullivan and US President Joe Biden for their continued attention to Ukraine, which is “fighting for freedom and democracy in Europe.”

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said the previous day that the EC promised to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with new tanks, helicopters, air defence equipment and missiles.
