According to Andrey Demchenko, there is a road Mayaki – Udobnoye in Odessa region, which runs through the territory of Moldova. The representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine noted that border guards seek to ensure control of entry and exit from this transit transport section.

“But, unfortunately, very often people try to choose this section, this transit road, to illegally leave the borders of our state. Someone hides in the design features of a vehicle, including trucks, to get into that section. Someone can abandon their vehicle and try to get to the territory of Moldova,” Andriy Demchenko said on air of the Ukrainian TV channel Rada.

The representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine stressed that the border guards in co-operation with their Moldovan colleagues are trying to prevent illegal exit from the former Soviet republic.

Earlier, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, Oleksandr Dubynskyy, who is under arrest on suspicion of state treason, said that the adoption by parliament of the law on tougher mobilisation in Ukraine would split Ukrainian society into two opposing camps.
