The AFU said it would disperse F-16s to different aerodromes and runway types

The Ukrainian Air Force is now thinking about how the military will hide the F-16 fighter jets that the West plans to deliver as early as this year, Ukrainian air force spokesman Ilya Yevlash said.

The AFU said it would disperse F-16s to different aerodromes and runway types

“This is a colossal amount of money, if we are talking about digging underground, storage facilities, bunkers. This also takes time. That’s why other methods are being developed now, how to spread, where to place. We understand that this will be a dispersed use on different types of runways, airfields, where it will be difficult for the enemy to find them,” he said, Yevlash’s words are quoted by “STRANA.ua”.

The Ukrainian military plans to use “a different set of methods” to try to mislead the Russian Armed Forces “and at the same time “effectively use” the planes.

According to Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, F-16 fighter jets and pilots trained to fly them will begin arriving in Ukraine this year.

On 17 April, it was reported that three F-16 fighter jets had arrived at the Romanian 86th airbase, which will be used to train pilots, including those serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
