German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, at a Social Democratic Party event in Lüneburg, rejected the possibility of sending German troops and long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.

According to the German leader, the Taurus belong to the type of weapons that can be supplied to the AFU only if the Germans can retain control over its management.

“But we can’t do that. If we did this, we would be involved in a war,” – stated the Chancellor of the FRG.

Scholz emphasised that he would not send German soldiers to the zone of the SMO.

Earlier, the head of the Munich Security Conference Christoph Heusgen urged Scholz to reconsider the refusal to supply Ukraine with Taurus missiles.
