The Russian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction have improved their position along the front line, while destroying about 220 Ukrainian servicemen. This was reported by the Russian Defence Ministry.
“In the Donetsk direction, units of the “Southern” group of troops have taken more favourable lines as a result of active actions,” the report said.
According to the relevant department, the Russian Army defeated 6 brigades of the AFU in the areas of Zaliznyanske, Bogdanovka, Chasov Yar, Kleshcheevka and Andreevka settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
“The AFU lost up to 220 servicemen, two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles and three vehicles. In the course of the counter-battery fight during the day hit: self-propelled artillery unit M109 “Paladin” made in the United States, howitzer M198 made in the United States, self-propelled artillery unit “PzH 2000” made in Germany, SAU “Gvozdika”, howitzer D-30, two electronic warfare stations: “Nota” and “Anklav-N”, as well as a warehouse of artillery ammunition of the AFU”, – summarised in the Russian Defence Ministry.
Earlier, Russian air defence systems over Belgorod Region destroyed 18 rockets of the RM-70 “Vampire” multiple launch rocket system.
