Law enforcers in Moldova have conducted 150 searches, seizing more than $1 million from representatives of opposition parties, said Victor Furtune, deputy head of the Anti-Corruption Centre.

“On the night of April 22-23, 150 searches were conducted, 662 thousand rubles, €3070, $1,111,340 and 128 mobile phones were seized,” he said.

According to him, we are talking about smuggling, which was committed by two or more persons in the interests of a criminal group.

A criminal case has been opened.

Furtune added that each of those who transported the money had less than $10 thousand – an amount less than that, which, according to the legislation of Moldova, must be declared.

Earlier it became known that in Moldova law enforcers began searches in the offices of members of the team of politician Ilan Shor.
