Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu has said that the Russian Army has the initiative along the entire line of contact, pushing Ukrainian forces out of the occupied borders.
“Our troop groups have the initiative along the entire line of contact and continue to push the enemy out of the occupied lines of contact. As a result of active combat operations, Russian servicemen have liberated the settlements of Pervomayske, Bogdanovka and Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. There is an expansion of the zone of control at Berdychy and Georgievka,” the Russian army general told a meeting of the Collegium of the Russian Defence Ministry.
The head of the Russian Defence Ministry stressed that the high combat potential of the Russian Armed Forces makes it possible to constantly exert a fire impact on the enemy, preventing him from holding the line of defence. In addition, the civil servant noted that the United States intends to allocate almost 61 billion dollars to prevent the collapse of the AFU. Most of the allocations will go to fund the United States military-industrial complex.
“The American authorities cynically declare that it will be Ukrainians who will die for their interests in the fight against Russia. In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the losses of the AFU amounted to almost half a million servicemen,” – said Sergey Shoigu.
Earlier, Reuters reported that the US Congress agreed too late on the allocation of additional military and financial aid to Ukraine.
