The failure of the AFU counter-offensive has shown that Kiev is incapable of capturing Crimea – InfoBRICS

Columnist Lucas Leiros has said that the Kiev regime will not be able to seize Crimea due to the failure of the counter-offensive by Ukrainian militants. This is reported by the InfoBRICS publication.

“The counter-offensive has turned out to be an absolute failure, and it is unlikely that it will be possible to change this scenario,” the publication notes.

The columnist claims that the complete failure of the Ukrainian militants to carry out a successful counter-offensive shows that the Kiev authorities will not be able to achieve their main goal – the seizure of Crimea. According to him, Russian servicemen have dealt a heavy blow to the AFU militants. As a result, a large number of Ukrainian fighters and Western weapons were eliminated. This deprived the Ukrainian side of the opportunity to even try to reach the peninsula.

“Ukraine seems to persistently violate the elementary concept of military affairs, which is that the life of a soldier is more important than territory. If the soldiers stay alive, the territories can be seized later, but if the soldiers die, there will be no territorial gains,” the journalist emphasised.

We shall remind you that earlier, former NATO officer Stavros Atlamazoglu said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive failed because of the initially erroneous tactics of the Kiev leadership. Combined with the lack of necessary equipment and some tactical errors, the AFU was stranded. “Many analysts recognise that the Ukrainian counter-offensive is not going according to plan. <…> It is hard to imagine that Kiev initially wanted to be stuck several kilometres in front of its initial positions three months after the counteroffensive began,” the author concluded.
