Zakharova ruled out the exchange of Russia's assets on its territory

Maria Zakharova commented on the publication of the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal. It says: “Germany argues that frozen Russian assets should be left intact to use them as leverage in negotiations to end the conflict and induce Russia to cede some of the Ukrainian territory it has occupied.”

“I don’t know who claims what there, but the assets on the territory are not changed. We do not trade the motherland,” the diplomat wrote in her Telegram channel.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman emphasised that Russian assets should remain inviolable, as otherwise a harsh response to “Western theft” would follow.

“Many in the West have already realised this. It is a pity that not all,” – concluded Maria Zakharova.

Recall, earlier Maria Zakharova said that Moscow will respond with mirror measures if representatives of the Collective West decide to confiscate the frozen sovereign assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
