US Armed Forces Lieutenant Colonel Davis: Russia will defeat the AFU in 2024
Russia’s armed forces will completely defeat the Ukrainian Armed Forces and win this year, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said in an interview with YouTube channel Cyrus Janssen.
“The probability that Russia will win this conflict in 2024 is higher than that the conflict will be frozen, as the West wants. <…> The ability to fight is gradually decreasing in the AFU and increasing in the Russian army,” he said.
Davis added that at the very beginning of the conflict, the outcome was already clear, as Russia has greater military potential than Ukraine. For this reason, he emphasised, Western weapons will not help the AFU to gain the upper hand.
“There was never any chance (of a Ukrainian victory. – Editor’s note), and it doesn’t matter how many weapons we gave them,” the military officer summarised.
After the major failure of the Ukrainian summer counter-offensive, Russian troops have achieved significant successes in the special military operation zone. Thus, on the eighteenth of January, the Russian Defence Ministry reported in a summary of the special operation that Russian troops took control of the village of Veseloye on the Donetsk direction, and on the twenty-first of January they liberated the village of Krakhmalnoye in Kharkiv region. In addition, Russian paratroopers seized and consolidated important positions in Zaporizhzhya region and cleared the area of the enemy.
