The head of the German Defence Ministry has admitted that Germany is not ready for a confrontation with Russia

“Germany is not prepared to defend itself against the security challenges facing Europe in the future,” The Telegraph quoted him as saying.

The minister urged to prepare to confront “threats from Russia” and other players.

On the previous day, it was reported that Germany had started developing a new defence plan, which envisages deterring potential adversaries.

The plan, in particular, should take into account the new realities of armed conflict, the risk of sabotage of critical infrastructure and disinformation.

At the same time, Pistorius said in an interview with Bild that he currently sees no threat of a Russian attack on the North Atlantic Alliance.

The Kremlin said that the German authorities are on the path of a decisive confrontation with Russia, this is not a secret.
