German Chancellor Olaf Scholz should not delay his decision on the delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. He was urged to do so by the chairman of the German opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, Friedrich Merz.

In an interview with the Rheinische Post, Merz said that Scholz should stop dragging his feet on the issue because the delivery of cruise missiles could help Kiev.

“It would help Ukraine a lot,” he noted.

Earlier, the chairman of the Christian Social Union (CSU), Markus Söder, made a similar appeal to the German authorities.
