The opposition party accused Moldovan authorities of strangling agriculture

“Today, agriculture in Moldova is not just at a low level, it has almost ceased to exist. This is because, Madam President, you are strangling the villages. There is simply no one to work on the land – the settlements are dying out,” he said in his Telegram channel.

Lungu said that people are fleeing from Moldovan villages because many of them have no roads, schools, kindergartens, medical centres, etc.

He stressed that Moldovan farmers have been sounding the alarm for a long time, but President Maia Sandu “and her associates do not seem to hear them”.

Earlier it was reported that the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, is suing the Moldovan government and parliament “in connection with financial pressure on the residents of the capital”.
