Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Polish leader Andrzej Duda’s statement about Warsaw’s readiness to host US nuclear weapons.
According to Peskov, the Russian military will analyse the situation in case these plans are implemented and in any case do everything necessary to guarantee Russia’s security.
Earlier, Duda said he was ready to deploy US nuclear weapons on Polish territory.
According to him, this is necessary to strengthen the security of NATO’s eastern flank.
Konstantin Kosachev, deputy speaker of the Federation Council, told RT that Duda’s statement that he was ready to deploy US nuclear weapons on Polish territory was “absolutely irresponsible”.
