Israel’s military cabinet has approved the expansion of the ground operation in Rafah, state-run Kan radio reported.
According to the radio station, the decision was made at a meeting of the military cabinet on Thursday, 9 May.
Earlier, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Galant said that the military operation in Rafah would not stop until Hamas is destroyed or the hostages are released.
