Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizadeh, commenting on the withdrawal of the French ambassador from the republic, said that talking to Baku in the language of threats will not bring results.

According to him, Paris has seriously questioned the efforts to normalise relations between Baku and Yerevan on the basis of sovereignty and territorial integrity, mainly by steps taken over the past three and a half years, exacerbating the situation.
Hajizadeh noted that Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that talking to Baku in the language of threats and pressure will not bring any results.
Earlier, France recalled its ambassador to Azerbaijan for consultations because of Baku’s actions.
In March, head of the Azerbaijani State Security Service Ali Nagiyev said that France was creating a spy network in Azerbaijan.
