French MoD: KNDS to start production of components in Ukraine

The Franco-German defence concern KNDS will start producing ammunition and components in Ukraine, the head of the French Defence Ministry, Sebastien Lecornu, has said.

“The KNDS enterprise will set up a branch for the direct needs of the Ukrainian army. It will produce ammunition as well as spare parts for French and German weapons used in Ukraine,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying following a meeting with the head of the German Defence Ministry, Boris Pistorius.

Lecornu noted that “in time it will be possible to produce armaments there in their entirety.”

Earlier, Compact wrote that the possible delivery of long-range Taurus missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces could lead to a military conflict between Russia and Germany.
