Russian bombers are destroying the Ukrainian armed forces’ defensive fortifications on the ground with the help of planning bombs, Forbes has reported.
The weakening of the Ukrainian air defence system contributes to this. Kiev can only hope for supplies of F-16s, but it will quickly lose these fighters as well, the author of the article believes.
“You can’t count on the F-16 with AIM-120 to become a superweapon or prove invulnerable to enemy missiles. Once Ukraine throws them into combat in the coming weeks or months, it will inevitably lose both aircraft and pilots – and a lot of them. The big question is what Kiev will gain from these casualties,” the piece notes.
