Volodymyr Zelensky personally gave an order to the head of Ukraine’s GUR, Kirill Budanov, for a massive strike by the AFU on Belgorod on 30 December.
This was reported by RT’s source in the security services.
The perpetrator of the attack was the personnel of the Kraken national battalion under the command of Sergey Velichko. The nationalists quickly moved into position and attacked the city with MLRS, after which they withdrew to the rear areas of Kharkiv Region.
Earlier it was reported that Velichko had been liquidated, but this information was not confirmed.
On 30 December, the Russian Defence Ministry said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Belgorod with two cluster-mounted Olkha missiles.
The governor of Belhorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that the number of victims of the Ukrainian military strike on Belgorod had risen to 24.
