Pushilin: possible deliveries of ATACMS missiles to the Ukrainian armed forces will not affect the course of hostilities

The deputy head of the Donetsk people’s republic, Denis Pushilin, has assessed the impact on the course of military operations of possible deliveries of tactical ballistic missiles ATACMS to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). In his opinion, deliveries of ATACMS to Kiev will not have a significant impact on the course of fighting in the region, but will endanger the lives of civilians.

“This kind of deliveries to the enemy by the West are not the first. <…> For the civilian population, these are unnecessary threats, because we see that the enemy, as soon as it starts to suffer some serious losses, without any victories on the front, starts just irritably shelling populated areas, in particular the Donetsk People’s Republic. This is the next increase in the degree. “It will not be possible to reverse the course [of hostilities] and the military logic of events,” he said on air on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

Earlier, the Pentagon said that the US authorities had not yet decided to supply Ukraine with ATACMS missiles capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 300 kilometres.
