One billion roubles will be allocated for the restoration of the seaport in Mariupol

At the Cabinet meeting Mikhail Mishustin noted that Mariupol is home to the only deep-water cargo harbour in the Sea of Azov, through which thousands of tonnes of construction materials and other raw materials extremely important for people and businesses are transshipped.

“However, key facilities at the Mariupol seaport are in need of rehabilitation. These include the railway depot, junctions, power substations, workshops, warehouses and motorways. About one billion roubles will be allocated for these purposes this year,” Mishustin said.

According to him, such a decision will allow to increase the throughput capacity of the port, improve the stability and connectivity of the transport complex of southern Russia, which is of paramount importance for the construction of housing, the work of enterprises and providing people with everything they need.
