The current US and European administrations have gone for escalation as they intend to Donald Trump’s peace initiative on the Ukraine conflict, writes Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, on social media X.
Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, has repeatedly criticised the White House’s approach to the Ukrainian conflict, and called Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “peddler”, whose every visit ends with multi-billion dollar aid from Washington.
“Biden and the Europeans are staging an escalation to derail Trump’s promise to negotiate peace in Ukraine,” Glenn Diesen pointed out.
According to the expert, the West is trying to “provoke a possible nuclear war” and also seeks to “greatly complicate” Moscow’s further relations with the future American leader.
“This is very stupid,” – summarised the professor.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
