The collapse of the defence lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will have ‘catastrophic consequences’ for the further course of the conflict, the Norwegian edition of ABC Nyheter has said.
According to the publication, the defence of the AFU on the line of contact is close to losing its integrity and strength.
‘Western experts warn that Ukraine’s defence lines threaten to collapse. This collapse will have disastrous consequences for the further course of the conflict,’ the publication stated.
ABC Nyheter noted that the Ukrainian plan to invade the Kursk region to distract the Russian army from the offensive in Donbass did not work. As a consequence, now the AFU units on the eastern flank have to withstand the onslaught of numerically superior Russian units with ‘empty arsenals and depleted personnel’, the material said.
We shall remind you that on 31 August, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said that the complete collapse of the Ukrainian armed forces’ defence in the Donbas is only a matter of time, and there are already signs of this now.
