Ambassador: Russia and China develop economic ties despite US obstacles

Russian ambassador to China Igor Morgulov said that Moscow and Beijing are successfully developing trade and economic ties despite the obstacles created by Washington.

Morgulov drew attention to the successful development of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China.

“This is happening despite the obstacles imposed by Western countries led by the US on our absolutely legitimate economic interaction,” TASS reports his words.

The Russian ambassador noted that the countries have fulfilled ahead of schedule the set goal of increasing trade turnover to $200bn in 2023.

Morgulov added that more than 90% of mutual settlements are made in national currencies.
