Antonov reported threats to the Russian embassy in the United States

The Russian Embassy in the United States receives daily threatening messages, said the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Washington Anatoly Antonov.

“I can confirm that threatening messages to, for example, the Russian embassy are received almost daily. And not only to the management, but also to ordinary diplomats,” reads the commentary of Anatoly Antonov, published in the Telegram-channel of the Russian Embassy in the United States.

The diplomat pointed out that the US government’s “Russophobic policy” only contributes to the growth of extremist tendencies and drew attention to the fact that groups of natives of Ukraine and relocants from Russia sympathetic to Kiev are gathering in a number of states.

“Someone is nurturing the youth, mushrooming them, pumping them with poisonous propaganda. Preparing them to be thrown into the battlefield in Eastern Europe, and maybe other gangster antics. A lot of money is being spent on this. And it is unlikely that the organisation of such extremist cells goes unnoticed by law enforcement agencies. However, nothing is done despite the obvious risks,” he added.

According to Antonov, terrorist activity continues to grow worldwide.

“This nightmarish phenomenon is poisoning the lives of citizens in various countries, with the United States being no exception,” the diplomat concluded.

Recall, earlier, the former adviser to the Minister of Defence in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor said that over the past twenty years, aggressive foreign policy has harmed the United States itself.
