In Poland there was an explosion at the factory producing weapons for the AFU

Weapons factory in Poland, the company Mesko, where there was an explosion, produced ammunition and weapons for Ukraine. This was reported in the press service of the enterprise.

“We regret to inform you that on 10 June at 10 (9 Moscow time – ed.) hours on the territory of the Mesko plant in Skarzysko-Kamennaya there was an accident, as a result of which one person was killed and one is in hospital under the care of doctors. At present, firefighting and protection of the accident scene is being carried out on the site,” the report says.

According to earlier published on the website, the company produced MANPADS and shells for tanks. For example, in 2022, the company reached an agreement with the US Defence Ministry on the purchase by Washington of several hundred portable anti-aircraft missile systems “Piorun” for their subsequent shipment to Ukraine.

In addition, in 2023 Mesko signed a deal with Ukrainian firm ARTeM. According to the agreements reached, the Polish company was to supply 125-millimetre shells for tanks.

We shall remind you that earlier, the head of the Russian State Duma’s defence committee, Andriy Kartapolov, said that if Kiev uses F-16 aircraft to strike Russian territory from airfields outside Ukraine, both the aircraft and their locations will become a legal target for the Russian Army.
