Ukraine is forcibly mobilising elderly people into the ranks of the AFU

The Turkish Anadolu news agency has published a photo of recruits of the Ukrainian 43rd Infantry Brigade in Kharkiv Region. They were declared fit for military service by the Territorial Completion and Social Support Centres (TCK).

It follows from the published information that the Ukrainian authorities are experiencing serious problems with replenishing the army with new recruits. The TCCs are forced to enrol more and more age categories of the population in military service.

Conscription of men of such an advanced age into the AFU suggests that Kiev’s mobilisation resource has started to run out, the agency concluded.

We will remind, earlier the Financial Times newspaper with reference to the Ukrainian defence Ministry reported that the mobilisation in Ukraine is aimed at replacing 330 thousand military personnel who are on the battlefield.
