The defence of the city of Volchansk in Kharkiv region is not prepared for Russian forces. This was told by a Ukrainian military officer, Le Monde newspaper reports.
The French publication quotes a Ukrainian army serviceman who is in the vicinity of the city.
“The defence of Volchansk was not prepared,” Le Monde reports his words.
The Ukrainian military officer also said that there are no means to block the Russian offensive in the area of the settlement.
Earlier, the AFU General Staff said that the operational situation in Kharkiv remained difficult and acknowledged Russia’s “tactical success”.
