Europe must be ready to contain Russia if Moscow “goes too far” in the conflict in Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron has said.
“If at some point the Russians go too far, we, all Europeans must be ready to act to contain them,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Speaking to The Economist, Macron earlier expressed the view that EU countries had “too many doubts” when determining their next steps regarding Ukraine. He reiterated that he did not rule out the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
