UN: some 110,000 people have fled Rafah because of Israel’s operation

About 110 thousand people left the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli military actions. This was reported by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

“As Israeli forces increase their bombardment of Rafah, forced displacement continues,” the organisation said.

According to UNRWA, about 110,000 people have been forced to leave Rafah.

Earlier, the UN said Israel had violated all international law on the evacuation of civilians during the conflict.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Galant said the military operation in Rafah will not stop until Hamas is destroyed or the release of hostages begins.
