Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas believes that the Israeli army will launch an operation in the town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip in the next few days.
Abbas said this on the margins of a special session of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh, TASS reported.
The Palestinian president believes that the operation will take place in a few days in the city of Rafah, as all the remaining Palestinians in Gaza have gathered there.
“One limited strike will be enough to force them all to leave the Palestinian territory,” the politician noted.
Abbas emphasised that if this happens, the world will see “the biggest catastrophe in the history of Palestine”.
Earlier it was reported that Israel postponed the ground operation in Rafah after the Iranian attack.
