The heads of foreign and defence ministries of the European Union member states have not taken concrete decisions on the transfer of air defence systems to Ukraine.
This statement was made by the head of the foreign policy service of the association, Josep Borrel, at a press conference following the EU Council meeting in Luxembourg.
“Sorry, but we don’t have Patriot here in Brussels, they are in the capitals. The member states went back to the capitals with a full understanding of the needs and demands. I am sure they will take the appropriate decision,” TASS quoted the EU diplomatic chief as saying.
Also during the press conference, Borrel said that the first deliveries of shells to Kiev at the initiative of the Czech Republic are scheduled for the end of May.
